Kentec panels are at the centre of the systems they manage, they are fully certified to EN54-2 and 4. In total, there are over 23 individual product standards for the components of a fire detection and alarm system, which together form a system e.g. EN54-7 for point type smoke detectors.
EN54-13 differs from the product standards in that it considers the ability of all the individual components to work together as a fire detection and alarm system. As such EN54-13 is intended to demonstrate the compatibility and connectability of components even if some components may not be defined by EN54 standards. Kentec achieves this with both Apollo & Hochiki protocols*.
Where products fall outside of this scope, Kentec and the technology partner carry out bi-lateral testing to an agreed regime and provide full test reports assuring compatibility is guaranteed.

Scope Communications are a leading UK designer, manufacturer and exporter of high reliability radio systems covering all aspects of On-Site Paging, Security and Telemetry.
For over two decades, Scope has worked closely with Kentec Electronics, providing an onsite paging solution for the very popular Kentec Syncro and more recently, the Taktis addressable Fire Panel range, together with a simple paging solution for the Kentec range of conventional fire panels.
Scope’s design approach directly matches the needs of our customers with its focus on reliability, resilience, and safety. Each new product undergoes rigorous testing to ensure compliance with applicable Radio, EMC and safety standards. Products are independently tested at Notified Body status laboratories in accordance with the European Radio Equipment Directive.
