Kentec Voice Evacuation System is an advanced safety solution that provides clear, pre-recorded or live voice messages to guide occupants during emergencies.

Unlike standard alarms that rely on tones or warning sounds and sirens, a Voice Evacuation System delivers precise instructions tailored to the situation, helping to minimise confusion and panic.

These systems are particularly effective in public spaces like shopping centres, transport hubs, and large buildings, where occupants may be unfamiliar with evacuation procedures.

A Voice Evacuation System is essential for buildings that use phased evacuation strategies, ensuring specific zones receive instructions in sequence to maintain order and avoid congestion.

It is the duty of the fire alarm system to monitors the connections between the systems. Fire Alarm has cause and effects fitted but most Voice Alarm routers can locally set its own cause and effects.

Speaker

The speakers provide clear messages, helping everyone hear important instructions during an emergency.

Emergency Microphone

The microphones are fully monitored and connected with fire rated cables and allow for zonal or simple call with the facility to manually trigger in-built messages. These microphones are also the highest priority.

Reception/Security Desk Microphone

The desk microphone enables staff to deliver live, targeted announcements across specific zones, ensuring quick and effective communication during emergencies or day-to-day operations.

Phased Evacuation

The biggest risk to life during the evacuation of a multi-storey building is obstruction and overcrowding in the escape routes, particularly staircases.

A phased evacuation is when messages are played in a pre-determined combination of zones so that just a few storeys or areas of a building are being evacuated down stairwells at any given time.

This way, we can effectively manage the evacuation process, minimising the risk of overcrowding and blockages in escape routes to ensure a safer and more organised evacuation.
