Kentec’s Wireless Lockdown Notification System provides a fast, effective, and reliable way to protect people in public and private buildings. Built on trusted K-Mesh technology, it is the only wireless lockdown solution available on the market today.

Three programmable pre-recorded lockdown messages

Options include lockdown, covert alert, all clear, or evacuation. Only one message is broadcast at a time, ensuring instructions remain unambiguous in an emergency.

Martyn’s Law

Martyn’s Law, also known as the Terrorism (Protection of Premises) Act 2025, was developed to improve public safety by ensuring venues and events are better prepared for potential terrorist incidents.

The legislation is named in memory of Martyn Hett, one of the 22 people who lost their lives in the Manchester Arena attack in 2017. Following the tragedy, Figen Murray, Martyn’s mother, campaigned tirelessly for stronger protection in publicly accessible spaces, advocating for greater preparedness, awareness, and coordinated response. It seeks to make public protection a shared responsibility, ensuring that all organisations, regardless of size, consider how they would act to keep people safe in the event of an attack.

Martyn’s Law received Royal Assent on 3 April 2025, marking a major step towards improving public protection across the UK. Qualifying premises and events now have 24 months to prepare, and compliance is expected to come into force in April 2027.

Provides a central point for the user to manually activate the relevant lockdown message via operation of a key switch. Capable of activating three different message types i.e. Lockdown, Covert, All Clear.

Part number – LD-WL8-LACP

A dedicated indicator panel which connects to the Translator via its hard wired addressable loop. The panel provides the system user detailed indications and information on the functional status of the Lockdown Notification System. It provides engineers detailed information on fault conditions to assist with diagnostics. A 500 capacity event log stored in the panel provides historical data of the last 500 events that occurred on the panel.

Up to 106 Voice Annunciators can be attached to the system. When the Lockdown Notification system has been activated, the Voice Annuciators will broadcast the required voice message along with a flashing LED indicator. Voice Annunciators broadcast clear speech at a high sound output of up to 91dB(A) at 1m. Voice Annunciator messages can be customised by trained engineers to ensure they meet end user requirements.

The central communication hub for the wireless devices distributed throughout the system monitoring wireless device status as well as transmitting control data. The Translator connects to the hard wired loop of the Lockdown Indicator Panel, enabling system status to be displayed by LED and LCD.

Part number – LD-WL8-TRH

Up to 10 input modules can be added to the system to allow remote points of lockdown activation around the building. The input can be connected to an activation key switch or a Manual Call Point type device allowing activation in the event of an emergency.

Up to three output modules are supported on the Wireless Lockdown Notification System providing volt free changeover outputs. Each output unit is pre-configured to activate when a particular message is being broadcast allowing the system to signal to other monitoring equipment which lockdown system message is active.

This output allows the Lockdown Notification system to provide a fail safe operating volt free changeover fault output enabling the system to signal a common fault status to other monitoring equipment. The fail safe functionality enables the fault output to activate even if communication with the Translator has been lost.

Reliable communications is critical for a wireless emergency system. The Expanders are added to provide a boost to wireless signal strengths throughout the building, but more importantly are the basis of the reliable wireless mesh technology. Multiple Expanders provide multiple communication pathways for the wireless devices ensuring the devices are always able to communicate with the Translator.

Identi-Cryer ® voice sounder provides the audio and visual warning elementsof the Identi-Cryer ® system. Its capability to broadcast clear, unambiguous voice messages make it suitable for use in a wide range of applications from Lockdown and ‘Invacuation’, Security and Perimeter Alarms, Chemical Alarms, Smoke Curtains Warning, and General/Building Information.

High-powered voice sounder designed for environments such as industrial applications, large open spaces, warehouses, factories and areas of public gathering or transit. Requiring no special wiring and retrofittable to existing installations. Fully synchronised, the units can be used as a replacement for electronic sounders or bells to broadcast a clear message for any situation – evacuation, chemical spills, lockdown, security or general information.

The SY-BD02 Lockdown Manual Call Point is for use as part of the Kentec Wireless Lockdown system when connected to an LD-WL8-IN Wireless Input Module. The SY-BD02 is a simple operation resettable manual call point which provides a clear visible indication of activation. The Manual Call Point provides users the ability to manually activate the lockdown system in an emergency.

The IC3/SG-Kit consists of an SY-BD02 Lockdown Manual Call Point and a SmartGuard cover. This can be installed as part of the Kentec Wireless Lockdown system when connected to an LD-WL8-IN Wireless Input Module. The kit enables users to manually activate the Lockdown system by operating the manual call point. The SmartGuard cover provides a high level of protection against accidental damage and creates a dual action operation to help deter malicious operation. The SmartGuard cover can be secured using a breakable seal to further deter malicious operation.
